Summer at YEI!

Attention Youth of Portland!

Summer is fast approaching and you need a job.

The economy stinks and you have no experience.

Where can you turn?  Who can help?

The Youth Employment Institute is offering the opportunity for youth ages 16-24 to apply for a paid work experience during the summer.

All opportunities for ages 14-15 are full.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM APRIL 1ST, 2009 TO June 5th, 2009.

Here's how it works:

Download the Work Experience Application HERE.

Fill it out and return it to YEI at 1704 NE 26th Ave. (MAP)

When you drop off the application, schedule a time to participate in YEI's Job Readiness Training Class. (JRT)

After successfully completing the JRT class, you will be scheduled for an interview with a Summer Employment Specialist.

SPACE IS LIMITED AND EMPLOYMENT IS NOT GUARANTEED!

The sooner you apply, the better your chances of obtaining a position.

Once you have completed the interview you could be placed on a worksite and begin working as an employee of one of our partner organizations.
